Luz Harpley
It can be said that Luz Harpley's paintings have a very strong Canadian influence with a slight impressionist style.
For years her desire of painting was on hold due to different factors such as university studies, work as well as family duties. She saw an opportunity to express this desire when I moved to the U.S.A.
Initially she started painting landscapes to decorate her own house. She loves to paint sea and aquatic scenes as its a reflection of her love for nature and the environment. It can also be said that her abstract paintings provide a platform in which she can express her feelings; this is something that is reflected through her manipulation over bright colours and shapes which are present in many of her paintings.
She considers her time in the U.S.A. as one of her most productive and richest moments of inspiration as she was able to apply years of art study into consecutive showcase exhibitions around the Katy, Texas art scene.
